Bringing smiles and energy into conversations
A few months ago, I started a podcast called Zero to CEO. During the recording of the initial five episodes, a few things became apparent. I needed to up my hosting skills.
And so, did some research to see how other hosts were bringing life and energy to their podcasts and one of the things that I found consistently across most of the top podcasts I listened to, was that they occasionally asked big, bold questions that their guest did not expect but were super excited to answer.
And after digging a little deeper, I found that there’s there’s actually a thing called hypothetical questions. Hypothetical questions are questions that make no sense whatsoever, but these questions get people thinking and often brings a smile to their face.
Here’s an example, if you could visit any planet in the solar system, which one would you visit? I’d visit Jupiter
Hypothetical questions are also great for serious conversations. You might find heavy topics tend to bring the energy of the show down a touch, so throwing in hypothetical questions every now and then, brings their energy back up again and as soon as you feel the energy going back down, throw in another hypothetical questions and ride that wave.
So, here’s a question for you, let me know in the comments below. If your superpower was to give phobias to people, what fun and interesting things would you make people afraid of?
