Dawn Aerospace

Dawn Aerospace had years of flight test footage from its Aurora spaceplane programme, onboard HUD, engine cam, drone captures, but no single film that explained what Aurora actually is. The challenge was turning engineering material into something a commercial audience could feel: fast, precise, and unmistakably Dawn.

Dark Matter built This is Aurora from that existing library. We cut the footage to a driving track, graded it, and layered animated spec overlays in Dawn’s own typefaces so the numbers, 100 km altitude, speeds over Mach 3.5, landed as story beats rather than captions. The film was delivered across landscape, portrait and social formats, plus a clean version with no overlays for use behind other content.

It now leads Dawn’s website, YouTube channel and campaign emails. We’ve been producing video for the Dawn team since 2021.
